Grangemoor Barn is situated within a mile of the village of Scots Gap, providing a village shop, garage and post office. The ancient Northumberland market towns of Morpeth, Rothbury and Hexham are a short drive away, with numerous shops, restaurants and public houses.

You can go fishing in the river Hart which is just a quarter of a mile away and has white clawed Crayfish and Trout. You may also be able to see some Otters occasionally.

A journey north for a few miles brings visitors to the heather clad, Simonside Hills for truly stunning scenery. Perfect for photographers and walkers.

Wallington Hall is a National Trust property with its walled garden, farm shop and Capability Brown landscapes. Located only 3 miles away, this great Northumberland attraction is worth a visit.

Another popular tourist attraction is Cragside House. Previously owned by Lord Armstrong and set in breathtaking surroundings, this historic building has universal appeal.

There are numerous activities to do from bird watching, mountain biking, water sports and for the less energetic visit the homely tea rooms to watch the world go by.

Hadrian's Wall is one of Britain’s greatest roman monuments. Built in AD122 by order of the Emperor Hadrian, it took 3 legions just over 6 years to build. The Wall is 73 miles (or 80 Roman miles) long and is the largest ancient monument in northern Europe. It spans England's peninsula between Wallsend, near Newcastle upon Tyne in the east, and Bowness-on-Solway on the west coast. We are only a short distance from this iconic monument.
